HONORARY STATUS FOR PAUL WALTERS
Mr. Paul Walter (1952) is awarded by ADR International Register with the title HONORARY PRACTITIONER. Paul is a Dutch mediation pioneer. Around 1995, Paul Walters, among some others, introduced mediation and mediator as a profession in the Netherlands. He was one of the founding fathers and the first secretary – board member of the Netherlands Mediation Institute NMI (1995 - 1998). Being the first NMI director (1998 – 2007), Paul personally worked around the clock to inspire professionals to become a mediator, to explain mediation and its benefits to the public and to integrate mediation as a process and mediator as a profession within the Dutch landscape of conflict resolution. Paul’s efforts were effective and permanent. Nowadays, in the Netherlands, mediation is well known, accepted and sustainable. Paul is still active as a mediator and in related positions. Silent, invisible, however very present, Paul advises many mediators and mediation organizations. Key success factor: Paul remains strictly independent and is therefore welcomed and respected by all stakeholders. HONARARY STATUS VOOR PAUL WALTERS
De heer mr. Paul Walters (1952) is de titel HONORARY PRACTITIONER bij ADR International Register toegekend. Paul is een Nederlandse pionier op het gebied van mediation, de ontwikkeling van het beroep mediator en het kwaliteitssysteem voor mediators. Hij was als eerste bestuurslid-secretaris betrokken bij de opzet van het Nederlands Mediation Instituut NMI (1995 - 1998) en in de periode 1998 – 2007 de eerste directeur van het NMI. Zijn heldere en verbindende kijk op zaken hebben in belangrijke mate bijdragen aan het op de kaart zetten van mediation in Nederland. Paul is nog altijd actief als mediator en in andere functies in het mediationlandschap. Aan veel mediators, bestuurders en organisaties geeft Paul op zijn eigen wijze advies en feedback m.b.t. de doorontwikkeling van mediation. Belangrijk hierbij is dat Paul erin slaagt volstrekt neutraal te blijven en dus verbindend te zijn, zodat aan zijn feedback waarde wordt toegekend. ADR Register is Paul Walters dank verschuldigd voor zijn grote inzet en langdurige betrokkenheid bij mediation en het beroep mediator. Paul is de 1e persoon binnen ADR International Register met de titel HONORAY PRACTITIONER.
